Transit/Rail Intern
October 2021 - January 2022
May 2022 - October 2022
As a Transit/Rail Intern, I executed drafting, document, plan detail revisions, and parking lot designs for two rail projects in the Sacramento and Central Valley areas, using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, ProjectWise, and Microsoft Office. Having this position showed me what the civil engineering industry is like in Southern California and how transit engineering and planning compares to roadway design, which is what my two previous internships were focused in.

Intern
June 2020 -Â August 2020
Working virtually, I administrated drafting, file referencing, quantity changes, and data organization using MicroStation, ProjectWise, Microsoft Office, and PDF X Change. My major tasks included generating detour profiles, drainage limits, and typical sections for each phase and stage of a monumental roadway project. Overall, this experience provided me a deeper understanding of the civil engineering industry and strengthened my skills as a transportation engineer.

Transportation
Intern
June 2019 - August 2019
In this role, I orchestrated drafting, plan details, measuring, data collection, and other tasks on several roadway projects. More importantly, I produced information on roadway and drainage quantities, cross sections, profiles, and proposed basins using AutoCAD, MicroStation, ProjectWise, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office. Being my first engineering related internship, this opportunity gave me my first exposure to transportation engineering and essential programs used by civil engineering professionals.
