Transportation Engineering II Senior Capstone Project

With a team of 3 students, a full report and presentation on the User Interface Analysis of the Smart Mobility Testing Ground program in New Brunswick, NJ was created. Device and functionality designs, vehicle data communication, in-vehicle sensors, retrofit methods for current vehicles, and mobile applications for the near future were investigated. Ways to promote technology to companies and students in the area were introduced. Essentially, the report described how vehicle sensors would detect objects and send alert to smartphones. The research conducted in the report will be helpful for the continued development of autonomous features in vehicles.
